Guided day walks
In the absence of accurate maps, and unlimited time you may like to avoid the embarrassment of leading yourselves up the path of missing way-marks and dead ends.
Being accompanied by one of us will give you the freedom to look at the surroundings more than the map, add interest to your day, and enable you to get the most from your valuable holiday time.
We will arrange a walk in a location to suit you and your party, bearing in mind any special interests you may have, your location and the party's abilities. This could be a village stroll of an hour or something more challenging to fill a day or days.
Although prices are quoted in terms of per day we are quite happy to plan by the hour if we have the availability.
We can provide strolls in terrain suitable for you or arrange something more challenging.
This will all be arranged before hand by Email or telephone. Guided days may be booked by email or telephone and paid for on the day.

The Location
The map in the slideshow shows the area in which we could guide you and serves to navigate you to our meeting point. If you need any help with transport from your base to the Alpujarra then we can arrange that for you at cost.
Terrain and the walking
The terrain is definitely hilly, but routes, based on the old mule trails, are always reasonably graded to make the hiking achievable for the averagely fit person. Dont worry if you are not a hardened hiker or perhaps have children not able to walk for many hours, we can devise routes in and around the villages with visits and easier terrain.
There is no shortage of moderate and challenging walks and we will be able to adapt the day to suit you.

Jon and I would like to thank you SO VERY MUCH for the extremely memorable, relaxing, history filled hike through the Alpujarra that you took us on, on the Feb 18th. That day as predicted ...... would be our highlight of our honeymoon in Spain.

We are now back in sunny but not so warm England! Thank you once again for a fantastic day, one that will stay with us for a long time....
unfortunately sad news is that we accidentally deleted all the photos of the day (and most of the holiday) - so there are no pictures of the smiley goats to send you. One of the risks of digital cameras! We have come to terms with this by deciding we'll just have to come again!
